Meera
Chandrasekhar is a Professor of Physics at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
She has a keen interest in teaching and has developed numerous programs for
students and teachers in grades 5-12. Her teaching awards include the William
T. Kemper Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching (1997), the Governor's Award
for Excellence in Teaching (1998), and the Presidential Award for Excellence
in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (1999). Her research centers
on the optical spectroscopy of semiconductors, superconductors and polymers
under hydrostatic pressure. She is a Fellow of the American Physical Society.

Meera Chandrasekhar
Rebecca Q. Litherland is
Science Coordinator of Columbia Public Schools in Columbia MO. Dr. Litherland
has 13 years classroom teaching experience and has served as the district coordinator
since 1984. She is also an adjunct assistant professor with the Department of
Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education. She has conducted numerous
workshops at the state level and presented at national NSTA conventions. She
has co-directed several CBHE Eisenhower projects with faculty from the University
of Missouri, and is director of the Show-me Science Center.

Rebecca Litherland
Jennifer Geib is gender
equity coordinator for the project "Promoting Young Women in the Physical
Sciences" at the Department of Physics, University of Missouri, Columbia.
She taught middle school science for three years and is currently pursuing graduate
work in science education.
