Our versatile Batteries, Bulbs and Switches Module Kit (B52-MK) includes a classroom set of ten Puzzle Boards (PZB-CS) and the BBS Expander Kit (B40-CS). With this Module Kit, ten groups of students can conduct 12 of 15 activities in the module. If your classroom does not have digital multimeters (for example, from the Simple Circuits Kits), we recommend a classroom set of ten multimeters (M10-CS).
The Puzzle Board is also available singly (PZB-01) or as a classroom set of ten (PZB-CS). The Puzzle Boards allow students to conduct 8 of 15 activities in the Batteries, Bulbs, and Switches module. |

Materials for the Simple Circuits Module |
The Simple Circuits Module includes fourteen activities, five problem-solving circuit challenges and two projects. Concepts addressed are
• Voltage, current, and resistance
• Series and parallel circuits
• Mixed series and parallel circuits
• Power and energy in an electrical circuit
The Simple Circuits Module Kit (S15-MK) includes a classroom set of ten Simple Circuits Kits (SCK-CS) and a set of five wire strippers (W05-CS). The Module Kit allows ten groups of students to conduct 13 of the 14 activities and all five circuit challenges.
The Simple Circuits Kit is also available singly (SCK-01) or as a classroom set of ten (SCK-CS).
Refill sets are also available singly (CR-01) or as a classroom set of 10 (CR-CS). Refills include plastic canvas, labels, alligator clips, and bulbs. |

Materials for Resistance Experiments |
The Pencil Lead and Wire Resisitatance Boards allow students to design experiments to investigate the factors that affect the resistance of a wire. The pencil lead board uses three pencil leads of different resistivities. The wire resistance board use nichrome wire of four different gauges. Length, diameter, and material factors can be inestigated. A battery and bulb on the board allows investigation of a series circuit with varying resistance.
Also included are four resistors to conduct an experiment from which students can deduce Ohm's Law.
This set is handy for all reesistance and Ohm's Law activities.
Batteries and multimeters are needed for these experiments (not included). |
